My Cat is Lost!

Never fear!  You have the tools at home to help them find their way back. ⬇️

☝🏽. Place their litter box on the front or back porch or in the garage with the door cracked enough for them to enter.  

👯‍♀️. Put out smelly food (tuna, sardines, etc…) at dusk and dawn-do not leave it out overnight.

🕒. Grab a small box or hamper with the smelliest clothing: pillowcases, socks, underwear, sweatshirts, etc….and place it with the litter box.

🍀. File a lost report at 24PetConnect.com, pawboost.com, Facebook.com, nextdoor.com, and any other social media outlet you can. File a lost report at the Solano County Shelter and visit their office to check their binders and website.  It’s best to go and physically check as well. Make sure to include:

-Date they went missing

-Two cross streets

-Their name, color, markings, collars, etc…

-Your contact information

-If your cat is very skittish or friendly (always assume they are going to be scared of a stranger)

-A picture of their face, body, and special markings 

Do NOT give up!  Cats can go missing for years at a time-if you recently moved-go check your old neighborhood.
